Our Impact

Having the chance to play or be a part of a team gives children an intangible gift: the skills to become happy, confident and healthy adults. We’re working to make small impacts that add up to a lasting, positive difference.

Getting in the Game

The Play On Foundation made its first grant in 2018 by returning to the place where our story begins: where Jack Cohen attended and coached, Far Rockaway High School. While many schools were gearing up for football season, the Seahorses were faced with an additional challenge of an equipment shortage as a result of a dwindling budget.

After contacting the coach and explaining the desire to help, the Play On Foundation excitedly helped equip the team with helmets and practice and game-day uniforms.

Now, fully outfitted with equipment and jerseys, the team of 30+ teenage boys are ready to play.

Help Us Do More

As the need for our program continues to grow, your support will enable us to help more kids, both on and off the field. If you’re looking for an opportunity to shape children’s lives through sports, we welcome you to join us!
